Several months ago Devin and his Big Brother/Little Brother program selected Devin and his Big to go to the Iowa college football game. Devin has been to a game several times before, but this game was different. Devin got to go on a behind the scenes tour, go on the field and loads of other fun things. If you watch any football I'm sure you know the Iowa Hawks are undefeated 9-0 in the Big Ten and ranked at Number 4 in the country. The Hawks have three more games and they are going to be tough...I have faith we will be taking a trip to the Rose Bowl in January! Go Hawks!
After several years of infertility issues and unsuccessful pregnancy’s, I had my IVF miracle baby Devin, who is now twelve. Since I was a little girl I always had the desire to have lots of children, but things are not always as we plan them. Devin’s father and I split up when Devin was 3 years old and I wanted to have more children, but medically wouldn’t be able to. Adoption was a way that I could give a child a loving and nurturing home and family. My adoption journey began in September of 2005. After several disappointments and a lost referral I switched countries in 2007 from Panama to Guatemala. After what was the most emotional, exhausting and uncertain journey I have ever been on in my life, my family is now complete. Danilo arrived into our family on March 27th, 2008 and Maysa arrived into our family on September 5, 2008. Looking back I could have never made it though this journey of infertility and adoption without the support of other bloggers. My children are my life and I’m so thankful that we are all together as one family!
