Please pray for a dear friend of mine and her husband her lost their son Hunter last week. Hunter passed away at 40 weeks due to an umbilical cord entanglement and was born still. The funeral today was so sad and his mother is having a very hard time which is expected. This was her first baby and she was so excited to be a mom after waiting many years to have a baby. Please pray for her and her husband so they may have strength to get through this horrible loss.
We are back from the Wisconsin Dells. We had a wonderful time, but the week went so fast. The kids loved the water parks and spent hours swimming. Maysa loved the water as well...funny how she cries when she gets her hair washed in the bathtub, but will jump in the pool and get her hair wet without crying. We went to a deer park and got to pet and feed the deer. It was so much fun to interact with these beautiful creatures up close. My sister, niece and nephew also went to the Dells with us. Five kids and two adults in a mini-van equals lots of fun and a tight squeeze!
After a two-hour session....Devin and I were in the background tossing Elmo in the air and acting like monkeys trying to get Maysa to smile. I love candid shots, but we were working so hard to get a few of her smiling. This is what we were able to get and I love them all....which means I ordered them all as well LOL.
A friend of mine took about 70 photos of Maysa in May and I spent most of May and June figuring out which pictures I wanted to order. Maysa is not a fan of having her photo taken at all, and we go from a smile to a candid shot in one second. I hope she out grows this before her senior pictures LOL Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
After several years of infertility issues and unsuccessful pregnancy’s, I had my IVF miracle baby Devin, who is now twelve. Since I was a little girl I always had the desire to have lots of children, but things are not always as we plan them. Devin’s father and I split up when Devin was 3 years old and I wanted to have more children, but medically wouldn’t be able to. Adoption was a way that I could give a child a loving and nurturing home and family. My adoption journey began in September of 2005. After several disappointments and a lost referral I switched countries in 2007 from Panama to Guatemala. After what was the most emotional, exhausting and uncertain journey I have ever been on in my life, my family is now complete. Danilo arrived into our family on March 27th, 2008 and Maysa arrived into our family on September 5, 2008. Looking back I could have never made it though this journey of infertility and adoption without the support of other bloggers. My children are my life and I’m so thankful that we are all together as one family!
